Who we are

Staz's Bot is a Discord bot with a web dashboard at bot.staz.co.za, run by Staz (staz.co.za), based in South Africa. This policy explains what data the bot, the dashboard and the billing process handle.

What the dashboard collects

When you sign in with Discord we receive your Discord ID, username and avatar, and we store a login session plus the OAuth tokens needed to keep you signed in. Your server list is fetched from Discord when you open the dashboard so we can show which servers you manage — it is held briefly to avoid hammering Discord, and not stored long-term.

What the bot collects

Per-server settings you save in the dashboard (welcome and goodbye messages, auto-role, mod-log channel and event toggles, warning escalation, which modules are on), and warnings issued with /warn: the warned member’s Discord ID, the reason, who issued it and when. Depending on the features a server uses, the bot also stores reminders, scheduled posts, and message counts and XP for leveling.

The bot does not store your messages. Mod-log posts (joins, leaves, deleted or edited messages, bans) are sent into a channel inside your own server and stay there, under your server’s control.

Payments

Paid plans are processed by Paddle, our payment provider and merchant of record. Paddle collects and handles your payment details — we never see or store your card number.

What we store is the billing record we need to keep your plan working: a Paddle customer ID, the subscription ID, its status, plan and renewal date, and which Discord server it applies to. If you subscribe while signed in, that record is linked to your Discord account so the dashboard can show and manage it. Paddle handles your data under its own privacy policy.

Where data lives

Data is stored in a Neon Postgres database hosted in Europe, and the website runs on Vercel. Payment data is held by Paddle. Secrets and tokens are never shared with anyone else.

What we don’t do

We don’t sell your data, we don’t run ads, and we don’t use third-party analytics trackers.

Removing your data

Kick the bot from your server and it collects nothing further for that server. To have a server’s settings, warnings and other stored data, or your account data, deleted, contact us via staz.co.za and we will remove it.

Billing records are the exception: we keep the minimum transaction history that tax and accounting rules require, even after an account is deleted.
